• Responds to sound - yes
• Stares at faces - yes

Emerging Skills (half of children can do):

• Follows objects - yes
• Ooohs and ahhs - no
• Can see black and white patterns - yes

Advanced Skills (a few children can do):

• Smiles - no
• Laughs - no
• Hold heads at 45 degree angle -no

Child's Age: 2 months

Mastered Skills (most children can do):

• Vocalises sounds - gurgling and cooing - yes
• Follows objects - yes
• Holds head up for short periods -yes

Emerging Skills (half of children can do):

• Smiles, laughs - yes
• Holds head at 45 degree angle - no
• Movements become smoother - not sure

Advanced Skills (a few children can do):

• Hold heads steady - no
• Bears weight on legs - no
• May lift head and shoulder (mini-pushup) - no

Child's Age: 3 months

Mastered Skills (most children can do)

• Laughs - yes
• Holds head steady - not quite
• Recognizes your face and scent - I think so and especially his grandma's voice

Emerging Skills (half of children can do)

• Squeals, gurgles, coos - oh yes indeed!
• Recognizes your voice - yes
• Does mini-pushups - have not seen or let him try

Advance Skills (a few children can do)

• Turn towards loud sounds - yes
• Can bring hands together and may bat at toys - bat at toys or his milk bottle

• Imitates sounds, blows bubbles
• Rolls in both directions

Emerging Skills (half of children can do)

• Reaches for objects and mouth them
• Sits without support
• Is ready for solids

Advanced Skills (a few children can do)

• May lurge forward or start crawling

May jabber or combine slyllabes

May drag object towards himself
