Active he is and he's 4 mths 1 day today!!

Last Friday I was commenting about my precious being inactive and very "stingy" with his smiles...well, I was wrong coz over the weekends he was pretty active cooing, gurgling, smiling and quite playful...Nontheless, rolling over was still not included in his main agenda though :) Oh well, I think we'll just observe him for now.. like Jewelle said, just give him some time :) Besides, we should minus a month from his current age if we really want to assess his developments as he was a premie at 35 weeks 2 days :)

Anyway, we brought Ethan for his 4th month general check up this morning. The nurse did say babies do tend to change their mood.

Here are some advice/tips from the nurse:

• to try and help/teach Ethan to roll over so he can learn the skill faster & develop better head/body control
• NO solid food until Ethan is 6 months old (applies to all babies)
• again if possible not to let him ride on a walker so he will walk more independently - good for brain development
• avoid heavy and thick clothings during this hot weather especially with his rashes now

If you're wondering how has Ethan progressed? Well, our prince charming now weights 7.1kg and is now 61cm in length. He was 5.8kg and 58cm last month :) When asked, the nurse said our Ethan has a good weight and is not overweight. His length is ok too as according to the nurse, baby normally grows from 0.5cm - 3cm a month...So our baby is growing up just fine :)
