Best Mom Award

Got this wonderful award from Shirley who is a great & fabulous mom to her soon turning 2 years old sweet Anniesen :)



My best mum experience was a few hours after giving birth to my precious Ethan. It was just after I've woken up from the anaesthetic effect due to a last minute emergency c-section ;p Ethan was actually asleep when the nurse first brought him to me but he opened one of his eyes when I called out his name... as if he knew his name even at about 3 hours old ;p I just can't describe the feeling that I had at that moment when he opened his eyes and looked at me...I just melt and was just so extremely happy to see my then tiny lil' baby (he was 2.8kg) and straight away gave him a loving kiss...I will never forget that moment as it gives me a warm happy feeling even writing about it now. Ethan is our precious little treasure ...always is and always will and we love him unconditionally with all our hearts :)

Songs for my soul

Okay folks, here's another meme from Nick and this time is about 7 songs that I'm currently into. Well, let's see what are the songs that keep coming back to my head lately:

If you haven't notice, almost all of the songs are kiddies songs...why? Cos I've been hearing and singing the same songs over and over again with and to Ethan that they keep coming back to my head all the time!! hahaha...Yes, I will switch on the dvds for Ethan to watch and listen to the songs during his meals and will sing to him these songs when he is in a cranky mood :) So as you can see, my kind of songs at this moment revolve around the songs listened by my precious Ethan haha...well, at least I get to know more English children songs which I never learn during my primary school time as I went to a Chinese school then :)

Daddy's Corner Tag

Aunt Agnes tagged me on Daddy's corner and as Father's Day is just the round corner, this tag fits as a pre Father's Day celebration to honour all the daddies especially my hubby who has been a great dad to our precious Ethan for almost a year now :) He's always there to help me in caring for Ethan when I need him to. Be it during when I need to prepare Ethan's food, his bath, houseworks, self pampering, outings with my friends or even when I'm blogging (like now hehe..) He is in fact Ethan's favourite. Ethan would actually go to him first whenever we come back from work in the evening as he knows his dad will play with him...unlike his boring mom haha...Here's a picture of my dear hubby with Ethan during one of their fun sessions :)

8 random facts

Spiff the Spaceman tagged me on this a while ago and I only remember about it this morning...opppss thousand apologies Nick ;p But better late than never right!!?? (Errmmmm...btw, have you ever did the smile taggy from me Nick?? Yeah am haunting you now hahaha...) Anyway, this tag is about 8 random facts about me.

Here goes my 8 random facts:

1. I love chocolate (tht's why I still haven't reach my pre-pregnancy weight and my forever friends tummy is still bulging and waving at me ;p)
2. I'm a blog addict (it's 4.43am now...nah I wasn't online forever.. slept early and woke up just before 4am to wash Ethan's bottles and now am here hee...)
3. Love shopping? (Yes I am!!)
4. New found love - cloth diapers (my latest obsession hehe.. I've bought about 30 CDs in a span of just one month..hehe..)
5. I'm trying (seems like I'm forever trying hehe..) to loose weight (to my pre-pregnancy weight of 51kg ...am currently still at 55kg...blame it on random fact #1 and lack of exercise...sigh..)
6. I'm a bit of a perfectionist (have mellowed down a lot over the years hehe..age factor?? hehe)
7. I'm a planner (I even plan in my head for almost every actions that I take which can be annoying at times especially if you're an impromptu kinda person hehe...and yeah I prefer advance notice rather than last minute activities though I would sometimes adhere to last minute activities such as shopping and window shopping hehe)
8. No matter how late I sleep the night before I will still wake up early the next day (I would normally wake up ard 7.30am even without alarm clock shouting to wake me up!)

Most embarassing moment, AGAIN???!!

Oh nooooooooooooooooo.....I thought I only had to go through this once and was happy that after I've done it the first time, it will be buried and hopefully rot (hehee...) inside my archive... But I guess, I must have done something really bad coz I've just been tagged by Nick on it again!!! Arrrrghhhh...Nick, you owe me one coz I've actually have to embarassed myself all over again and it is not just among a few people okay...its among everyone else in this whole planet!! Oh dear oh dear.....but since I'm in a good mood coz its Friday and am about to go home, I'll do it though reluctantly...sigh....so did I managed to make you feel bad or guilty Nick? heee...and yes, you better not laugh and roll on the floor, hear me!!

The Age that I wish my Child Will Stay To Be

PapaJoneh tagged me on this but I must say, my special journey as a mom has just started since my precious Ethan is only 5 1/2 months old. Nontheless, I shall try my best here ;p

Like PapaJoneh, I would not like to have my baby stops at a certain age as I would like to see him growing and learning new things in life. It would be interesting to see how he grows and what kind of person will he grow up to be. Will he look more like me or my hubby? Will he be as patient as his daddy or will he be as bad tempered as his mom? ;p Will he be as tall as his dad? In short it would certainly be interesting and exciting to know what kind of man he will turn up to be later in his life :)

Nevertheless, for the 5 1/2 months since I had my sweetie pie, I would say I like him most in his current age. Not that I don't like him before (I've always love him since day one and will always love and adore him very much - the feeling keeps growing everyday!) , but previously he was too little to understand, be alert or be appreciative of the things around him. Today, my precious is more alert, more playful, more generous with his smiles, able to response to you with his ohhhs and ahhhhs and gurgles, likes to be cuddled and sang to when he wants to sleep (I love to hug and cuddle him to sleep!!), able to move his body towards me and sometimes excitedly when I'm about to carry him (shows how much he misses me...ahhhh...) and most of all I just SUPER DUPER LOVE it when he gives me his GORGEOUS SMILE first thing in the morning!! It's a happy feeling that I just can not describe with words...it is what some people may described as the melting moment or joyous moment ...but for me its so much more than that...it just gives me that fulfilled, satisfied, contented, warm and happy feeling deep inside my heart... certainly a great booster to start my day even during these gloomy & rainy days! ;p

1. I'm a stubborn old cow when I need to be or want to be ;p
   
2. I DO NOT take raisins simply because I don't like the texture when my teeth sink into the flesh - it feels yucky to me ;p
   
3. I'm a typical Virgoan - perfectionist and like things to be in order and like to plan ahead which can be annoying at times hehe...
   
4. I love EGGS!! I can eat eggs anytime of the day but have to refrain myself now as I have high cholesterol :(

6. I'm a librarian by profession and am proud of it though am no longer working in a library environment. But my previous jobs help me a lot in my current job especially in terms of doing research :)
   
7. I got married late at 35 years of age (yeah, I'm not afraid to tell my age hee..) and enjoying my life with hubby & my 5 mths ++ old precious :)


8. My mum, myself and my precious baby Ethan are all born under the year of Pig - yeah 3 generations of piggies! Good fengshui people said ;p

Breakfast

Ok folks, am gonna do a quickie now!! I'm referring to my blog entry okay!! ;p

Anyway, Deana tagged me and she wants me to share what I had for breakfast this morning. So, here goes...
My mee hoon soup with "chung kian" and meat balls which I only found out today (coz darling hubby pays most of the time hehe...) actually cost RM4.80!! This excludes the "less sugar Milo" drink. Oh my! So expensive for a breakfast meal don't you think?! I think I will order "pau" instead next time....I'm trying to burn some fat so am trying very hard not to eat fried food (yeah right...)...hmmm...but with the never ending price hikes, I think I should consider preparing breakfast at home...

Anyway, back to breakfast, what's yours?
