What your handbag says about you

And since we are on the topic of some fun quizzes and I saw a few interesting ones while blog hopping..I tried a couple of them...here's another one I saw from KadusMama's blog.

What Your Handbag Says About You

You are concerned with how you appear. (agree!) Projecting your high status is important to you. (it is not about projecting high status but rather looking presentable..besides I belive if you look good you feel good and the happiness and confident in your will be projected out on your face hee..)

You tend to be relaxed throughout the day. You are naturally at peace. ( I would think so hee..)

You are a high maintenance person. You feel lost outside of your normal environment. (wow...don't think I am high maintenance though..otherwise my hubby would have run miles away hahaha...hmmm..must ask hubby this...but then again I normally don't wait or expect anyone to get me things that I like coz if I could afford it myself I would just go and grab it myself heee...unless its for special occasions and of cos it is always nice to be spoilt once in a while by your loved ones right hehe..)

You are open and comfortable with who you are. You don't hide anything. (yeah.. but am not an open book person though..)

You are a very creative person. Your life tends to be a whirlwind, but you always seem to pull it together. (friends have told me that I am creative...)

You are an outgoing and expressive person. You always speak your mind, and you're very approachable. (I guess so...)

You are a very unique and special person. There's no one else who is anything like you.
(yay! I think everyone will love this last two sentences coz everyone IS special and unique right!! hahaha...)

If you're thinking of asking me to disclose what kind of craps I keep in my handbag..DON'T coz I really do keep all sort of craps in my handbags as you can even find candy's wrappers and used face blotter papers in it!! Absolutely not a good site to see hahaha...on some occasions you'll find baby's bottle and toys in it too hehehe...my purse's condition is two of a kind too...it is thick not becoz of money but its all due to the receipts that I keep putting them in after each payment I made haha...

What kind of fashionable woman are you?

Saw this quiz test from Sandra and thought I should give it a try :)

Your Fashion Style is Classic

You like what's stood the test of time... (strongly agree!)

Simple, well styled clothes that don't scream trendy (absolutely true!)

You stay updated and modern, but your clothes stay in style for a while (bingo!)

You wouldn't be caught in animal prints, fake fur, or super bright colors (
oh.. but I love bright colors though...)

Goodbye White Rabbit Candy!!

I bet most of you must have tasted or love this yummylicious candy when you were still a kiddo or even up to this day right...I love this milky candy too except the thin layer of "paper" that is being wrapped around the candy that melts in your mouth..some how I just dislike the taste of it...Anyway, this candy which is made in China has been banned thanks to the irresponsible manufacturers in China. This dairy product is one of the products that contains melamine...It irks me to think of the poor babies affected by the melamine contain in infant formula in China recently...and how heart broken it is to hear those innocent babies that suffered or died due to those no-brain manufacturers in China. What were they (the manufacturers) thinking??!! Don't they have any conscience at all that they are harming those poor babies??!! Don't they ever thought of their own children and grand-children when they formulate such products!! What more when the government in China practices 1 child policy...imagine how those parents of the babies who have passed away are going through now...my heart goes to them and the other babies that are suffering now...hope they will recover soon..and hope the relevant authorities will severely punish those idiots for their lack of responsibility and care for children...see how evil money can be!! I am very angry that if you ask me, I would probably force those morons who have invented those deathly products to swallow their own products till they die!! BTW, Ethan loves his Baby Bytes biscuits...but since it is also made in China, I've stopped buying and giving him that particular brand now. Have to find other types of biscuits which are not made in China! Ban China made products in your home!! Hufffff....!! Do read the article from thestar.com.my below:

China goods ban widens

PETALING JAYA: The Government has widened its ban on dairy products imported from China to include confectionery which contain milk, chocolate (including white chocolate) and other food which contain milk.

The decision was based on the latest information received from Singapore’s Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) which found melamine in “White Rabbit Creamy Candy”, the Health Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry’s food quality and safety department director Noraini Mohd Othman said the widened ban would include “White Rabbit Creamy Candy” and flour-based confections like biscuits. - would be useful if they disclose which biscuits are affected here isn't it...alang-alang punya warning!

“The ministry will seize such products found in the local market,” she said.
Noraini said Malaysia already had an existing ban on any milk or milk powder from China, adding that although the country had imported dairy products from China, the milk in these goods was sourced from Australia and New Zealand.

“As a preventive measure, the ministry has also imposed a Level 6 or automatic rejection on all imported baby milk powder, milk and dairy products via the Food Safety Information System.”

Noraini advised consumers to be aware of the types of items which have been banned and to dispose of any existing goods they might already have.

“Retailers are also advised to report to the nearest state health department or office if such products are sold on their premises,” she said, adding that importers and agents have to stop distributing such products and immediately contact her department.

Noraini said the ministry would also take food samples from across the country to check for the presence of melamine, adding that if it were detected, those involved in the distribution chain could be fined up to RM100,000 or jailed a maximum of 10 years, or both.

Consumers can contact the ministry at 03-8883-3503 for more information.

On Friday, Singapore’s AVA suspended the import of all milk and milk products from China and instructed retailers and importers to recall such products.

Three products were found to contain melamine “ “White Rabbit Creamy Candy”, “Yili Brand Choice Dairy Fruit Bar Yogurt” and “Dutch Lady” strawberry-flavoured milk.

Bday bash for Indy & Maya

Allow me to illustrate the birthday party with the pics below ;p

First of all let me introduce you to the two beautiful princesses of Sandra and Nico i.e. Indy who turned 4...oppss the mommy just corrected me Indy turned 6 ... sorry Sandra and Indy hehehe...

..and the lovely Maya who just turned 2...
..and while they were busy entertaining their guests...I was busy catching up and getting acquaintance with the others...here's Deana with Lil' Sona..

..then there were Suzan who was holding Sona, Deana again with my precious Ethan hee...and the other queen of cake making, Faye who together with Deana baked and designed the gorgeous birthday cake for Indy & Maya...

Joyce S. and cutie pie Gaga was there too...

..so was Miranda and her ever so adventurous Avi who without any warning decided to jump into the baby pool just outside the venue upon arriving... which I guess that incident must have almost caused any mommy a heart attack ;p

Here's Joyce S. with Gaga in his absolutely adorable sling together with Celine with Baby C...errrmmmm not sure who's hand was that trying to touch Baby C...was that your hand Ethan??? ...hmmm...

...and as we were getting engrossed with the food and chatting...the gorgeous Barbie birthday cake was pushed by the waiter....isn't the cake a work of art!! Kudos to Deana & Faye!

here's the family of 4 during the cake cutting moment :)

soon after that it was Pinata time!! So the kids excitedly gathered around the Pinata hoping to grab as many candy as possible and put them in the awesome boxes provided by the host...a top secret box for the boys and a princess box for the girls..

...faster faster...grab as many as you can!!!

..besides the candy grabbing, the little ones enjoyed doing the coloring ..too bad Ethan is too small to enjoy this hehe..next time ya sweet heart ;p

Happy Malaysia Day!!

Tomorrow should be the real Malaysia Day or Merdeka Day...so Happy Malaysia Day everyone and oh...happy birthday to our TYT too hee...another public holiday for us here in Sabah...Yay!! :)

Laughing stock - are we?

I can't help but to comment on the recent ISA arrests especially after the release of the poor reporter. What humour me more was the reason given on why she was arrested - to ensure her safeness!!?? Hahaha...I thought ISA was for national security purposes???...Are we born yesterday??? hahaha...and as blogged by Marina Mahathir, can't she be granted protective custody for that matter??...Gee...I wanted to keep mum about it but I just can't stand how things are being handled recently...Another thing that have been bugging me at the back of my mind is how Datukship is being awarded lately...I don't know about you guys but for me there should be special awards like sportmanship award for sportsmen/women rather than giving them a Datuk title..and am sure a special actor/actress awards can be created for Malaysian who have made it big in Hollywood .. or special singer award for singers who have made it big in the international market...being the first Malaysian to have stepped on the moon doesn't qualify you for a Datukship too ..well at least in my humble opinion...Although I am very proud of them but I don't think they are entitle to earn Datukship as they have no direct contribution to the citizen at large... to our country in general, yes of coz they have as they definately have put Malaysia on the map and make us more visible...but I do feel that the Datuk title should be awarded to someone who has directly made contributions to the community as how it was previously done ... you know like those who have donated millions of money to start education fund for the needy, or those who have formed some kind of community association to help the unfortunate etc etc...it makes me question about the quality of our Datuks nowadays...the MPs who are on so-called "study trip" to Taiwan with their passport being securely kept is another amusing story...hmmm...I just hope we will not become the world's laughing stock...or maybe we already are??...with the way things are... I am honestly not surprise...

We will miss you

We lost someone very dear to us last Friday (12th Sept 2008) at 5.30pm in Hospital Ranau..Aunty M. (my mum's younger sister) was 57 years old. I joined my family to pay her our last respect in Ranau the next day. May her soul rest in peace. Amen.

The wonder of talcum powder

I guess some of you may have already known this useful tip (I learnt it from my dear mom few yrs back and have been using it ever since hehe..) but nonetheless I just want to remind you to keep a small bottle of talcum powder in the office or in your handbag if you do carry around with you a huge handbag hehe...I can tell you that it will definitely be very useful if you're a clumsy person like how yours truly have been the past two days...I don't know why but I seem to be spilling either water or juice or even the oily beef macaroni that I had for lunch on my dress or top the past two days...I had to grab a small talcum powder from the supermarket yesterday afternoon just to clean up the oil stain on my "baju kurung" yesterday...and what do you know...I did it again this afternoon on my top...so if you ask me if it works...see these pics for yourself and tell yourself to get that talcum powder in your office drawer as you never know when you gonna need it ;p

Oil spill thanks to my beef macaroni and my clumsiness :(

But worry not coz I have the talcum powder to the rescue!! Just put some powder on the oil spill and use your finger to put a little bit of pressure...normally I'll put some powder till I don't see the oil sipping through the powder...

After a few minutes....just dust the powder away and tadaaa....the oil stain gone with the wind! Magic isn't it!!?? Haha...

A lil' late...but nevertheless...

...wishing all Muslim friends and family "selamat menunaikan ibadat puasa" :)

..and as usual, our office had our annual "Berbuka Puasa" dinner at STAR yesterday evening...

...and before we know it...I'll probably be munching away my old time favourites - the ever so delicious "rendang"and "kuih makmur" during "Hari Raya" ..time flies isn't it!!? Happy fasting once again!! :)

My day

My bday was over 2 weeks ago...it was a simple affair as that is how I prefer to celebrate my bday all the time - just a simple and low profile bday celebration :) Anyway, I'll let the photos tell you the stories okay :)

Hubby took us out for dinner at Fish & Co...

....before we adjourned to Sutera Harbour Resort just to chill out with Lil' E :)

..and I had a pleasant surprise at work thanks to my wonderful colleagues :) Oh BTW, I have to say this... that cheese cake from Uncle Biscuit is simply delicious...I would like to honestly recommend you to try it bcos it is absolutely indescribable super yummy and no,I am not exagerating!!

And as usual our office had the August babies bday party which of coz include ME! ;p

And what's bday celebration without bday presents right! Besides a gift from dear hubby, a pre bday lunch treat from my dear friend F, presents from friends colleagues... of coz I gave myself some bday treats too :) Bought myself some working clothes from G2000 and a makeover package from Kose which you've seen the picture earlier hehehe...and oh...prior to my bday, a good friend of hubby invited us to celebrate his baby's (baby Ray) full moon...and since they are siblings, I met Sharon at the party :)

A short hello

I know, I've been neglecting my dear blog for over a week again...I'm still around just a bit tired to write any blog entry lately... Anyway, it has been good long weekend for the past two weeks...tiring but fun all the same especially when we were able to spend some family time with our precious lil' E :) I'll be back again with more updates and photos from my "bufday" till how we spent our Merdeka break recently ;p
BTW, my thanks to all those who have wished me happy birthday via sms, leaving comment(s) in my blog and in my Facebook. Appreciate your thoughtfulness :)
