This video is just for my reference as how to fold the SCC back into the snugg carrier sleeve...
While this video shows how to use a soft structure carrier (SCC) -I can't find a video by Snuggbaby so I keep this video as reference first ;p

“Steam, flip, blend and serve” - I sooo want it!!
I stumbled upon the Philips AVENT Combined Steamer and Blender while I was blog hopping at Fara's. I thought its a cool and useful gadget to own especially when Eli starts on solid. That will be in about 2 months plus time. I remember I used to press vegetable and meat/fish chunks through a sieve for Ethan when he first started solid. It is doable but very time consuming and can be tiring when you have 101 things to do and you're already tired with other things...but with this steamer cum blender thingy...it makes preparing and cooking baby's solid food a lot easier as it's tagline says "Steam, Flip, Blend & Serve"...
How does it work?
How does it work? You put your chopped up food in the steamer, insert water in the water compartment and when the water is all used up the unit will turn itself off.
Then, you flip over the container part of it, insert it back into the base and press just one button to blend it!
Furthermore it is a more nutritious and healthier way of preparing baby's food since food will be steamed instead of boiled.... Another good thing about this gadget is that it has a compact design for easy storage - Product dimensions: 16.5cm (Round Base). 30.8cm (High). So I can easily bring it to MIL's during the weekdays and bring home during weekends :) And yes, though it is pretty pricey at RM399 but I sooo want it!! Anybody knows if this is already available in KK? Otherwise I will just order online ;p

Not Needs juz Wants
I'm sure every mom to be, be it the 1st time mom to be or 2nd/ 3rd/ 4th mom to be, we always have our needs and wants when it comes to shopping for our new bundle of joy. I for one not excluded and even though we have most of the things we need since our precious Ethan was born almost 3 years ago.
We have almost everything except 3 items that I intend to buy next week or after Baby Eli is born i.e. Medela Mini Electric Breast Pump, Baby Car Seat (I'm eyeing a particular brand in Kids Avenue, Times Square) and Bengkung Moden.
But somehow there are still other baby stuff that I wish for or long to own but it is not a necessity;p Although a part of me would love to own them but instinct tells me not to buy simply because it may not be practical or worth buying as we plan only to have 2 children. Oh well, still no harm in sharing them with you right. Who knows you may find some of them useful especially if you intend to have more children and/or just started your family planning :) And who knows I might just decide to get some of them after all and sell them as pre-loved items later on ;p
1. Fisher Price Baby to Toddler Portable Rocking Chair
This can also be found in Little Me, CT Department Store, Toys R Us - this seems practical as can be used for Eli and Ethan. But Ethan may dominates the chair most of the time instead ;p

2. Baby carrier
I have baby ring sling and pouches but these seems tempting too ;p
Either Patapum Baby Carrier (in dark chocolate)

OR
Littlepods Soft Structured Carrier

3. Infant Stimulation Baby Crib Set
This set I sooo want to buy but I can't find online seller that ship to international address...sigh...How nice if any of the Malaysian online shops could sell more RBW brain stimulation toys...so far I can only find very very limited choices...sigh...
4. Kiddopotamus: Snuzzler Head and Body Support

5. The First Year: Close & Secure Sleeper
Can also be found in Little Me - doesn't seem to last long I supposed. The most will only be used for a few months hehe...
6. Bumbo Bay Seat in Lime with Tray

7. Thermos Combo Pack - either one of this sets
These two sets are value for money coz the original price was RM199 but now they are only RM99 a set - very tempting indeed...I'll probably get a set...

"Kedai bundle" anyone?
If you have not explored "kedai bundle", perhaps you may want to consider it one of these days. I have been to a couple of really huge "kedai bundle" in Tawau and Keningau and I must say although I didn't know what to expect...but I kid you not how surprise I was looking at the things that can be found at such places. Mind you, those are second hand stuff but they are mostly imported from Korea or Japan and of good brands and in good and some in great/excellent conditions."Kedai bundle" as they are popularly known have a lot of things to offer in terms of shoes, handbags and mostly clothing. I've bought quite a few still in good condition handbags many years ago in Tawau and quite a few jeans clothing for kids from Keningau few years back too. I have always wanted to visit one of the "kedai bundle" nearby in town like the one near to the Phillipines Market and the one in Dongonggon but I've yet done so.
I guess many may not even consider going to such places to shop. But I have quite a few friends who can pretty well afford brand new branded clothing yet still go to these places to shop. When I asked why, they said why not. Those are authentic and it is the same as buying used items from ebay. The only difference is that "kedai bundle" are found in the "pasar gantung" area - not a glamourous area to be seen shopping I must admit ;p But from what I gathered from a friend who is married to a Japanese guy and have moved back here from Japan, Japanese likes to shop so most of their clothings are still in good conditions or not even worn when they give away. I personally don't mind to shop at these places especially for jeans clothing and kids clothing as kids do grow up very fast and normally those items are used only for a short while. So to me even if they are used, (of coz we need to use our common sense when choosing and buying right..) they are not heavily used if you know what I mean :)
Anyway, when I read Joyce S.'s entry yesterday, I was really surprise and excited to know that they even sell diaper covers too! When it was time to wake hubby up, I excitedly woke him up and persuaded him to bring me to the one in Dongongon ;p But we had an appointment and came home late yesterday so we didn't manage to go. Fortunately I left a message and asked Joyce S. to help me buy and much to my delight, she has kindly help me buy 2 sets yesterday and even managed to get 1 free diaper cover!! Wooohoooo!!! Here are the diaper covers she helped me buy. All 7 pieces for RM20 only! FYI, the bottom picture, I've bought an exact piece - the one with the stripey light blue print from JS Shopper in Japan for around RM60 (pack of 2)! So u tell me, worth buying or not???!!! ;p But I guess it will not be suitable for fussy buyers la ;p

I got this in my inbox at 4.05am today (1st Nov), so if you're interested wait no more ;p
So did I get any? I certainly did! Ordered the fitted 3 Step Rise 1 Size which I can test on Ethan since he is not fully potty trained yet and of course for our second baby later on :) Yes, I've started my shopping for bb #2 especially on diaper covers, prefolds, just a few sized cds and a few fitted as I intend to fully cloth diaper bb #2 ...that is if he is not as super heavy wetter like his big bro Ethan hehe.. but for sure I will start bb #2 on cloth diaper earlier this time...I only started cloth diapering Ethan when he was 6 months old. I intend to start CDing bb#2 after his confinement...for the first few days or weeks I may put him on either prefolds or the traditional napkins with cd covers on...

Free bag of your choice??!!
Yes, you've read it right and it is for real! So if you've not heard or read about it yet, hop on and join the very first Joint Venture GIVEAWAY CONTEST of Malaysian Online Baby Shops (MOBS). And for its first JV giveaway contest, MOBS is organizing it with alicewonders.com that sells affordable yet chic and classy bags for any occasion. You name it alicewonder.com has it i.e. casual bags, sling bags, grab bags, laptop bags, evening pouches, shoulder bags and many more.

Now close friends will say I have too many bags already. But you know what, too many is never enough for any girl who hearts versatile styles that comes with affordable prices right ;p I have always go for classic and elegant style simply because it will be eternity evergreen. Hence, I don't need to worry about it being out of style or out of season. For that, I would love to own the MUSE Onyx Black Patent Quilted Satchel from the Classic Corporate category in alicewonders.com
I simply adore the design and shape which was inspired by Yves Saint Laurent. It is made from patent faux leather and gold color platings. It has triple function: grab bag, shoulder bag or sling bag that comes with adjustable shoulder or sling strap. It is top zipped and has single compartment with 3 inner pockets. Furthermore it has bottom feet to keep bag standing - me likey coz what's an elegant bag that looks sloppy when you put it down eh ;p Personally, I feel that this bag is not only suitable for the corporate world but it is chic enough to be used during one of the many shopping trips with your girlfriends as well as a travelling companion. Looking at the size i.e. Height: 9in (23cm)Length: 11in (28cm)Width: 5.5in (14cm), I won't be surprise if it has enough room to put some baby stuff such as a diaper, a small pack of baby wipes, a change of baby's clothes such as a romper and even baby's milk bottle for a dash to the supermarket - what someone like me (a working mom) always wanted i.e. a multipurpose elegant looking handbag for any occasion! ;p

KL trip
As mentioned earlier me and hubby went to KL for a short break. So what was our itinerary like you may ask? Well, nothing much just shopping (for us, Ethan and family), spending time with hubby's siblings and their family and of coz to relax and to spend some quality time with each other. Here are a few pictures for the sharing :)
Us or rather me feeling full and satisfied with the yummy BBQ chicken rice we had near Sg. Wang :)

Hubby's 2nd bro, Bryan and his beautiful family :)
Their two adorable children - Farah and Adam
Hubby's 2nd bro, Bryan and his beautiful family :)
And oh..here are some of the things I bought for Ethan...there are some other items I bought for him but I'm too lazy to take pictures besides some of them are on the clothes line or kept in his drawers already hehe...
As for me, I bought a few pairs of shoes, some tops/blouses, belts and accessories..sorry as I am too lazy to snap pictures of them hehe...all cheap stuff nothing grand anyway heee...hubby bought quite a few polo shirts which were marked down by 70% , a couple of belts and shoes. Hubby even bought a nice wall frame for my wall feature project hehe...However, in spite of all the items we've bought, much to my surprise our luggage didn't go overweight. Probably I've packed all the used clothes/towels and toileteries into our handcarry bag otherwise we would have to pay quite a bit :)

Crocs that can be bitten
During our recent trip to KL, besides shopping (can't blame me as it seemed like the whole of KL was on sales!!), I've learnt a couple of new things... and one of them was about how hazardous the famous Crocs sandals or clogs that I've been wanting to get a pair for Ethan. However, upon hearing what it may cause especially to children as young as Ethan's age made me changed my mind...It started as I was admiring the Clark sandals that hubby's nephew had on and thought I should get a similar pair for Ethan since he is outgrowing his current sandal...it was then that SIL told me to be careful on the type of sandals to buy as some may cause unwanted accidents especially on the escalator...this was when the Crocs subject came about...BIL who works for a lift/escalator company told us not to buy Crocs sandals for Ethan as there have been many cases where accidents involving children have occurred on the escalator ...and most of the time the culprit is the super light and flexible Crocs sandals...he even told us that in JB, one of the shopping malls actually displayed a warning sign that shows no Crocs shoes allowed on the escalator (talking about being direct..) as apparently there have already been a few serious injuries ...Nonetheless, being the curious person that I am and wanting to know more I did a google on Crocs and escalators and true enough there are many articles on this subject...some incidents sounded really gruesome that you just don't want to continue reading the articles!! So Crocs sandals/ clogs (original or imitation) are out of the question and the only Crocs we have in our home is Mr. Croc ;p
Ohh...I however managed to do a last minute shopping at Isetan for Ethan b4 we left for the airport and bought him OshKosh: flip flop, sandal and a pair of shoes all for RM113 only...it was a buy 3 and you get 50% discount heee...I didn't really know what his exact size was as I've forgotten to take his measurements but nevertheless I bought bigger sizes instead...kiasu or not??!! So there you are, the confession of a shopaholic!!! hahaha...
